Series 54

L&T Muni Consultants is excited to announce that Alison Lechowicz has passed the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board's (MSRB) Series 54 Exam - Municipal Advisor Principal. The exam covers the topics of the municipal advisory regulatory framework, supervision of firm operations, and supervision of municipal advisory activities. All municipal advisory firms must have a Principal with a successful Series 54 exam November 2021.

CA Sewer Rate Survey

Statewide wastewater rate survey data is now available. The State Water Resources Control Board recently published results of their biennial wastewater rate and capacity fee survey for the Calendar Year 2018. They received survey responses from 622 wastewater agencies throughout the state of California. Survey data is available to the public in spreadsheet format through the CA open data portal (data.ca.gov) or through a data visualization of trends across survey results from 2012-2018 https://public.tableau.com/profile/rafael.maestu....

L&T monitors surveys like these to help our clients gain valuable insights into industry trends, including how utilities continue to meet their revenue goals while dealing with rising operational costs, new regulatory requirements, and maintaining infrastructure. Overall, the data show the average monthly wastewater bill for a single family residential customer increased from $41.73 in FY 2012-13 to $47.87 in CY 2018.
